Heat wave is over.......phew.......

Whew........finally, our four day heat wave is over! It tapped 100 degrees a couple of times. I'm so NOT a hot weather person.....don't have a clue how those people down in Florida can stand it! Well, it's only 87 degrees this afternoon, but with the lower humidity, it's not bad at all.

Our gardens are full of "stuff", like Nana likes to say.....and now it's just a matter of standing back and watching things grow. Of course there's always little critters to deal with. This morning, I planted about 24 plants, and some little animal dug up two! Good thing I noticed, before the plants died.

So, as of today we have about four different types of tomatoes! Yikes! WHAT WERE WE THINKING!!! We also have green peppers, hot peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, beets, radishes, green beans (bush and pole) turnips, butternut squash, parsley, basil, dill, and lots and lots of flowers! I'll take pictures as the season progresses, so you can see it all before it turns into one, huge, mosquito infested jungle!!!

Nana was good today. They had a concert at 2p.m. which we went to. The singer sang lots of old songs......and Nana remembered a lot of the words. We also spent quite a bit of time fooling around and giggling. It was fun, and both Nana and Grampa enjoyed it. At least I THINK Grampa enjoyed it.....he rolled his eyes a lot! Is that enjoying it? Yes,.......

Some of the girls who work at Hebert's have adopted Nana. Ann, one of the girls from the activities department got together with Nana and they started a club. It's called the "BFF for Frogs, Club." Nana and Ann are the co-Presidents, and I am the Vice President of Comedy. Grampa is the bouncer. Chris wants to join, but only if she can use her bar name....."Ruby the Barmaid". We're still deciding on that. She said, if she can't join our club, she'll start "her own freekin' club", to which Nana responded, "That would be O.K. We'd like some competition!" Ah, Nana.....

Tonight I'm going to the movies. I haven't decided what I'll see yet. It's a tossup between two. Guess I'll flip a coin!
